                                 Concordia International School is located in Yau Yat Chuen, Kowloon, far away from the noise and intensity of daily life in Hong Kong.   The school was founded in 1990 by the President of the Lutheran Church-Hong Kong Synod. It offers grades 7 to 12 North-American patterned programs to students who want to learn in a total English environment. Students learn in small classes in school, with an average class size of 15-20 students per class.  The school operates six classes only, with one class for each grade level. Concordia International School is non-profit making, co-educational and is fully managed by the Lutheran Church.

The school follows the highest standards of the North American Curriculum.  The high school program’s foundation is based upon the College Board’s SAT and AP curriculum specifications. All of its students write the globally recognized PSAT, SAT, AP as well as the TOEFL. Successful students at Concordia are assured of having their work recognized by universities and colleges around the world, including top-notch universities in Canada, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and the United States.

Concordia campus is equipped with the latest high-speed wireless connection and its students are offered state of the art technology with the Mac 1:1 Laptop Program and enjoy courses such as Digital Literacy and Computer Programming.  Most of our class texts, resources and library materials are available to our students via ebooks and digital platforms to allow for greater convenience and accessibility at school and home.  

Concordia’s doors are open to students of all races and religions.  Like other international schools, its students come from many places over the world, English is the campus language for instruction and communication.

Special arrangement for incoming families

The school adopts a rolling admission policy to assist families relocating to Hong Kong during the school year. Skype interview and admission tests can be arranged for families in overseas.

We admit students who have very mild SEN needs to our regular classes. However, most of our teachers are not trained to teach SEN students. Such students, if admitted, are required to receive professional assessment and assistance on regular basis by a professional psychologist appointed by the school, the fees are borne by the relevant parents.
