The German Swiss International School (GSIS) is an international school in Hong Kong established in 1969. Around 150 teachers and 250 staff members in total work with around 1,300 students, from Kindergarten to Secondary level.

Long-renowned for our excellence in teaching and student achievement, GSIS operates as one school with two parallel streams at two campuses. GSIS offers a German and English curriculum based education, leading to internationally recognised certificates such as the German International Abitur, IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme.

GSIS provides a sustainable and holistic education, making it possible for our students to recognize and develop their diverse and individual potential and talent. Our core programme consists of humanistic, science and creative subjects as well as a comprehensive language offering and is completed by an extensive and manifold list of extracurricular activities.

With students hailing from over 30 different countries, cultural diversity is a given at GSIS and we see a heterogeneous and inclusive way of teaching as a viable and valuable component of school life. Outside the classroom learning opportunities such as Discovery Week and the GSIS house system foster team and community spirit and promote effort and positive social behaviour.

We cooperate. We share. We learn from each other.  We are a centre of educational excellence, within a vibrant, creative and caring community.

The learning support teacher works collaboratively with the school counsellor to develop well-being programmes that support all students.
